Brunch, Cité & Leopard Print
If you’re looking for an exquisite place to brunch, Cité is it! To travel up you must go into two elevators & up 70 stories. You have arrived when the elevator has opened and a beam of light (time permitting) emits you can feel your pupils undilate.
Because of the time of year we were able to order off of a Valentines Day menu. For me, this meant deviled lobster eggs, a filet mignon egg dish and endless mimosas and Bellini’s. We went during the week, which it was not busy, so having a seat by the extraordinary view was not a question. After brunch we met up with a friend to shoot pictures and create a video that can be found on my Instagram page.
One of the trendiest items is the leopard or cheetah print jacket. I prefer leopard print because of the bold encapsulating rings; it has a more magnified look. I wanted this look to be easy to wear because I knew we would be doing a lot of walking, which is why I wore my Unisa wedge booties. Walking feels limitless in these. The leggings I have on have an attached skirt. It reminds me of a fancier active leisurewear look because of the faux leather strips. The sweater I paired with this look is fairly simple with a minor fringe detail and cowl neck. I needed something plain with a slight detail because a t-shirt would not have been warm enough and quite boring. Fan necklaces, oh my gosh, they are everywhere. The one I bought is rose gold colored. There is something so playful and fun about these, I can’t wait to wear mine out this summer. The strands are so thin and delicate it really speaks summer to me but it can be worn anytime of year. I picked the blue aviators because the color popped against the neutrals. I wanted another pattern in this look so I chose this trapper hat.
Walking around Chicago as the sun began setting was so meaningful. It was nice to not have a place in mind to walk to but onward. I cannot wait to share with you all what’s ahead!
